Principal – Nursing Training Institute

Role Overview

The Principal will serve as the academic and administrative head of the Nursing Training Institute. The role requires strong leadership, academic expertise, and hands-on experience in nursing education, institutional management, and regulatory compliance.

This is a senior leadership position intended for nursing professionals with substantial experience and a commitment to shaping future nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

• Lead and oversee all academic activities of the institute

• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and evaluation

• Develop and implement academic policies and curriculum plans in line with regulatory guidelines

• Mentor and guide faculty members to enhance academic performance

Administrative & Institutional Management

• Manage day-to-day operations of the institute

• Coordinate admissions, examinations, and academic schedules

• Supervise faculty recruitment, training, and performance evaluation

• Ensure discipline, ethical conduct, and professional standards within the institute

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Indian Nursing Council (INC), State Nursing Council, and other statutory bodies

• Prepare and maintain academic, administrative, and inspection records

• Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and approvals

Student Development

• Promote a supportive academic environment for students

• Address student concerns and ensure academic progression

• Encourage professional ethics, discipline, and holistic development
   

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• M.Sc Nursing with 4+ years of teaching experience in a recognised institute  OR

• B.Sc Nursing with 6+ years of teaching experience in a recognised institute

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Knowledge of nursing education regulations and academic administration

• Ability to manage faculty, students, and institutional operations effectively
